"This restaurant is simply SUPERB! One of the best restaurants I and my wife have visited in the last years!! Everything is perfect: the very cozy atmosphere, the gentle personal, and the food!! The "tapas" (or starters) are delicious, and you can taste many of them and one is better than the other! The main dishes are also a must, as are the desserts and the wine list. And the price is unbelievably low for the quality of the restaurant and its food. We would like to thank the chief, the owners, the waiters! We would like to come back to Avila for many reasons, but specially to visit the restaurant again!!"

"This place fills up quickly, especially the tiny terraza next to the gate in the city walls, but for good reason. The food is wonderful. An extensive menu is prepared and served beautifully. The cured sadine loins on cucumber carpaccio - a delight. The grilled meats perfect but be warned, the portions are large. Enjoy."

"Just finished a stunning meal here. The highlight was the chocolate tart - although the steak was excellent too! Every dish was beautifully presented, and the staff couldn't be more attentive. An evening well spent. If I had to say something, it's that it would be nice to have a vegetarian option for the main course that isn't meat or fish."
